Neoception Kick-Off 2025
Uniting for a Future of Innovation
Our 2025 Kick-Off event in Vila Real set a powerful tone for the year ahead. This gathering brought our entire team together to share ideas, align our visions and ignite the passion needed to face the challenges and opportunities of the coming months.
Our team from across the organization got together to celebrate our shared vision and to set our goals for 2025. During the event, we had the opportunity to establish clear goals, define plans for our products and connect with each other on a deeper level. We also had some fun playing games together and celebrated the second year of our Neobells, an event where we awarded prizes to our amazing #greensocks.

Our CEO, Jörg Nagel, delivered an awesome and well-explained lecture about the challenges our company will need to tackle this year. He highlighted that aside from the economical situation, there are also regulations to be fulfilled in order to continue performing as a software company.
Regulatory Readiness
We are committed to integrating the latest cybersecurity and operational resilience standards into our products. By doing so, we ensure our solutions remain secure, resilient, and fully compliant with the most recent requirements. Below is a brief introduction to each key framework we are incorporating:
EU Cyber Resilience Act
This initiative is designed to establish baseline cybersecurity requirements for products across industries. Its primary goal is to ensure that every product is built with robust security measures from the start, creating a safer ecosystem for both manufacturers and end-users.

NIS 2 Directive
The updated NIS 2 Directive is expanding the scope of cybersecurity obligations across a wider range of sectors. It tightens risk management practices and enforces stricter incident reporting protocols, ensuring that organizations are better equipped to prevent, respond to, and recover from cyber threats.

ESPR (European Security and Product Regulation)
ESPR reinforces the “security by design” concept by requiring companies to integrate advanced security measures during the early stages of product development. This approach ensures that products are inherently resilient against potential cybersecurity risks.

By embedding these standards into our development processes, we not only safeguard our own operations but also empower our clients to innovate with confidence. This proactive approach allows our clients to focus on growth and innovation, knowing they are supported by technology designed for a secure and dynamic future
Turning Compliance into Opportunity
With the upcoming Ecodesign Directive, many companies will be required to provide Digital Product Passports for their products—a clear signal that digital solutions are now essential.
Our approach to Digital Twin technology goes beyond the traditional focus on real-time monitoring and predictive maintenance. As we define it, our Digital Twin delivers transformative benefits across four key dimensions:
- Internal Process Optimization: Enhancing efficiency by streamlining operations and optimizing internal workflows.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring that your products meet all necessary regulatory standards, thereby turning compliance challenges into strategic advantages.
- Interoperability: Facilitating integration and communication across various systems and platforms, ensuring that your operations are agile and future-proof.
- Customer-Focused Use Cases: Using the Digital Twin to simplify the cooperation with your direct customers, e.g. to simplify (re-)buy processes or service and support.
Conclusion
As we look ahead to the challenges and opportunities that 2025 will bring, we carry with us the powerful message from our Kick-Off event.
A few days before the event, our CEO Jörg came across a fortune cookie bearing an inspiring message: “Nothing can stop you – you win!” This message now serves as our rallying cry, a reminder that, united in purpose and driven by innovation, we have the power to turn obstacles into triumphs.
