OUR CONTRIBUTION

Open standards as the basis for digital business models

This year, the Annual General Meeting focuses on the potential of plant data, especially in existing plants. Open standards such as the Asset Administration Shell are a prerequisite: only when device and plant data are described uniformly, independent of the manufacturer, can they be reused without individual interfaces.

As a company of the Pepperl+Fuchs Group, we support this year’s sponsor on this topic with our experience from AAS projects in industry.

Data as a Strategic Asset: Efficiency Gains and Competitive Advantages Through Standardized Digital Twins… But How?

Using real-world examples, the workshop shows how companies can create and provide standardised digital twins economically, even in brownfield plants, to meet partner and regulatory requirements and turn them into real efficiency gains.

When does Neoception speak at the NAMUR Annual General Meeting 2026?

On 5 November 2026: in the Pepperl+Fuchs sponsor keynote with Dr. Jörg Nagel, and at 17:30 in the workshop “Data as a Strategic Asset” with Andreas Wick and Benedikt Rauscher.

No. The NAMUR Annual General Meeting is a congress for NAMUR members and guests with a participation fee. We are happy to talk with you outside the event as well.

Process plants consist of many devices from different manufacturers. The Asset Administration Shell describes these devices in one uniform, open format. Their data becomes usable in engineering, operation and maintenance without individual interfaces, in existing plants too.

Event Manager: One Change Notice, Many Engineering Tools

With the Event Manager, Neoception brings Product Change Notification to the Neoception® Digital Twin Infrastructure (DTI). It comes in two parts with different roles: the Event Feed is the platform’s notification channel and part of the DTI licence. The PCN Manager is the new companion app in which change notices are created and released, for manufacturers without a suitable change notification process of their own. Both follow the AAS standard rather than a bilateral arrangement with a single target system. That is what this post is about.
